Dr John Hart, CEO
Dr Hart was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. He was educated at St Andrew's Primary School and Pulteney Grammar School in Adelaide. Dr Hart has the following degrees - Master of Sports Medicine (University of New South Wales), Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Physical Education Honors First Class (Exercise Physiology), University Medal (Flinders University of South Australia), and Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sports Science) and Bachelor of Arts (Recreation and Physical Education) (University of South Australia). While studying, Dr Hart set-up a school-based aquatics safety and skill program which contracted to the South Australian Department of Education, based at North Haven, South Australia, Australia. He also did contract teaching at various Technical and Further Education colleges in Adelaide on the Fitness Leaders training programmes. Dr Hart has worked at the Australian Institute of Sport assisting athlete preparation and testing. He has completed medical residencies in hospital emergency, orthopedic and plastic surgery departments, and has worked in community physical and sports medicine in Australia, the United States and Canada. In 1999, Dr Hart was founding director of Exclusive Fitness, a private community-based personal health and fitness assessment program based in Manly, New South Wales, Australia. In 2001 he was founding director of Corporate Doctor, a private corporateĀ health assessment program, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Since 2000, Dr Hart has also been clinical director of Hotel Doctor, an emergency 24 hour medical service to the hotels in the Sydney central business district. He has been developing patient education and informed consent software for spine pain patients since 2001.
Ms Sue Grundy, Director of Sales and Marketing
Ms Grundy was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She was educated at Str Gertrudes and Our Lady of the Rosary Schools, Sydney. She has a degree in Land Economics from the University of Western Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Ms Grundy has extensive experience in sales and marketing in a number of industries, including finance, property development and personal development. She was the foundation marketing director of Aussie Home Loans, now the largest non-bank lender in Australia. Sue has financed and project managed the construction of many small to medium residential construction projects, and managed the national and overseas sales and marketing of the Cypress Lakes Golf resort in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia. Ms Grundy has been involved in Anatomate's development since its inception.

Dr Wally Kos, interventional radiologist
Dr Kos received a Class 1 Honors for his medical degree from the University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He received his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Radiologists in 1981. Since then, he has worked as a Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Alexandria Hospital for Children, Hornsby Kuring-gai Hospital, Sydney Adventist Hospital, the Mater Hospital, and at Pittwater Radiology Partnership, all in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Since 1994, Dr Kos has been the Consultant Radiologist at Dalcross Private Hospital in Sydney. Dr Kos served as Chairman of the Management Committee of Hornsby Kuring-gai Hospital in 1994, and Chairman of the Pittwater Radiology Partnership in 2004. In 2005, Dr Kos served as President of the International Intra-discal Therapy Society. Dr Kos' major area of interest is spinal interventional radiology. He has extensive experience in chemonucleolysis, having introduced the procedure to Australia. He is currently investigating oxygen/ozone spinal therapy. Dr Kos has presented at conference in Houston, Phoenix and San Diego in the United States,and Hobart and Brisbane in Australia.
Dr Lara Langdon, doctor of physical therapy
Dr Langdon completed her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the California State University, Long Beach in 1994. She then worked as a clinical physical therapist and clinic owner throughout the Southern California area and in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2005, Dr Langdon completed her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital with a special interest in teaching anatomy. She subsequently returned to San Diego, California and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. In 2007, Dr Langdon was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, and at the University of St. Augustine Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Dr Langdon has presented at the University of California San Diego, University of St Augustine, Massachusetts General Hospital, and International Holistic Healing Circle and Society. She is currently teaching anatomy and human cadaver dissection at UCSD and the University of St. Augustine Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
Dr Paul Licina, orthopedic surgeon
Dr Licina is a spinal surgeon based at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital in Chermside, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He qualified as an orthopedic surgeon in Queensland and then undertook further spinal training under world-renowned spinal surgeon John Webb in Nottingham, England. Although his primary interest is degenerative spinal conditions, in particular back pain, he treats all conditions of the spine. He has a public appointment at the Mater Childrens Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland, where he cares for children with scoliosis and other spinal deformities. Despite his busy private practice, he devotes considerable time to research and education. He helped establish the AO Spine Centre of Excellence in Brisbane and oversaw its incorporation into the Queensland University of Technology Orthopaedic and Trauma Research Group, and has been granted the title of Adjunct Professor by the QUT. More recently he has established the QUT Northside Spine Research Group. He has traveled extensively both nationally and internationally as faculty for various spine courses and conferences. He has published a number of papers, and is currently involved in ground-breaking research involving spinal cord injury, being part of the team that performed the world's first transplant of specialized olfactory cells into the spinal cord of a paralysed patient in an attempt to develop a technique to promote spinal cord recovery. His current research interests involve computer-assisted image-guided surgery and less invasive spinal surgery including bone graft alternatives.
Dr Lali Sekhon, neurosurgeon
Dr Sekhon is a Fellowship-trained spine neurosurgeon at SpineNevada located in Reno, Nevada. Prior to joining SpineNevada, Dr. Sekhon was an Associate Professor with the University of Sydney, with a clinical appointment with the Department of Neurosurgery & Spinal Injuries Unit (Head of Department) at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Sekhon received his medical degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. He completed sub-internships in neurology and neurosurgery at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and a clinical rotation in pediatric neurosurgery at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. His neurosurgical residency was completed, with distinction, in Sydney, Australia. He is a Board Certified neurosurgeon (FRACS). Dr. Sekhon completed postgraduate neurosurgical fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and a combined orthopaedic/neurosurgical spinal fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital in Ontario, Canada. In addition, he received a Ph.D. from the Department of Surgery, University of Sydney, Australia. During his undergraduate, postgraduate, postdoctoral and post-fellowship training, Dr. Sekhon received a plethora of honors and awards including the Young Neurosurgeons Award from the World Federation of Neurosurgeons and Outstanding Clinical Research Award from the Cervical Spine Research Society. Dr. Sekhon is a member of numerous prestigious organizations such as the North American Spine Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Joint Section AANS/CNS Spine & Peripheral Nerve, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Spine Arthroplasty Society. He is also a member of the Spine Trauma Study Group. Dr. Sekhon has presented his research at a multitude of national and international medical conferences and served as editor or reviewer for many prestigious medical journals including the Journal of Neurochemistry, Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, Neurosurgery, Journal for Spinal Disorders and Techniques, and Spine. He served as the Associate Editor for the World Federation of Neurological Societies' website, is on the editorial board for the Journal for Spinal Disorders & Techniques, and Spine journal. He is currently a Senior Editorial Board member for SpineUniverse.com.
Dr Ralph Stanford, orthopedic surgeon
Dr Stanford is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in surgery of the spine. He deals with all types of spine problems in adults and operates on all levels of the spine from the neck to the low back. He graduated in medicine from the University of Tasmania in 1988 and completed advanced surgical training in orthopaedics with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2000. To further develop his skills, Dr Stanford undertook a spinal fellowship at the University Hospitals of Cleveland in the USA for one year. Dr Stanford commenced practice as a specialist spine surgeon in 2001. He has appointments at the Prince of Wales and Prince of Wales Private Hospitals in Sydney, Australia. At the Prince of Wales Hospital he runs an outpatient clinic and is on the orthopaedic and spinal injury rosters. During his advanced training, Dr Stanford researched bone-healing substitutes and was awarded a PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 2002. He continues to conduct research and has a conjoint appointment as a Senior Lecturer with the University of New South Wales.
Dr Leong Tan, neurosurgeon
Dr Tan received has Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons - Neurosurgery in 1988. HeĀ is currently a consultant neurosurgeon based at Pacific Private Clinic, Southport, Queensland. He is a Visiting Neurosurgeon to the Allamanda Private Hospital, John Flynn Private Hospital, Pindara Private Hospital and Gold Coast Public Hospital in Queensland, Australia. Dr Tan is a member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, Asian Surgical Association and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr Tan has conducted research into the management of subarachnoid haemorrhages and ependymomas. He has had scientific articles published in Neurosurgery, the Journal of Surgical Neurology, the British Journal of Neurosurgery and the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience. Dr Tan has presented at IMAST and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons meetings.

Mr Hank Brown, spinal surgery device distributor
Mr Brown is a businessman and investor with extensive experience in the United States spinal surgery market. He has been CEO and equity owner of Surgical Solutions Inc in Ann Arbor Michigan since its establishment in 1997. Surgical Solutions is a medical device manufacturer's representative (DePuy Spine, Anspach, etc) that is focused on the spinal implant market. Surgical Solutions is a sales and marketing company that provides a commission based income for sales representatives while offering full benefits to all its employees. It has 22 sales representatives and 5 office staff. Current annual sales are over US$30 million. Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Brown's previous experience included positions with several Orthopaedic device manufacturers where he held positions as General Manager, Director of Marketing, and Product Manager. Currently, he also sits on the board of three private companies and one non-profit corporation.
Ms Jan Hamilton, communication consultant
Ms Hamilton earned a degree in Science majoring in Physics and a Diploma in Education. She worked as a Physics teacher before taking her passion for communicating through acting further. Jan received a grant from the Australia Council to study theater full time for three years at E15 Acting School in London, where she also worked professionally in theater. Determined to pass on what she had learned, Jan returned to Australia, where she gives communication skills workshops.
Mr Jon Mills, spinal surgery device distributor
Mr Mills is the owner and general manager of National Surgical pty ltd and LMT Surgical pty ltd, both Australian distributors for global surgical device manufacturers. National Surgical's main business is supplying Queensland Australia spine surgeons with spinal implants and related surgical tools from Medtronic Spine and Navigation, the world's largest spine device manufacturer. He is regarded as an industry leader in the spine surgery field, having received a number of international awards.
Mr Chris Pearsall
Mr Pearsall has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney and a certificate in Information Technology Management from Melbourne University. He also undertook an MBA program in Technology Management at the University of Phoenix (USA). Chris Pearsall is an experienced "hands-on" operational executive with over 25 years experience in both management and marketing in a variety of industry sectors. His key skills are in strategic planning, business plan development and execution, international marketing, team building and people management. He has had extensive experience in negotiating key partnership alliances, joint ventures, labour contracts and in general commercial negotiations. Mr Pearsall has been the driving force in a number of start-up companies both within and outside the Information Technology sector. He has a strong focus on revenue achievement and on building value for stockholders. Mr Pearsall has also held COO or CEO positions in several companies where he improved economic performance through the implementation of proper planning and controls and significantly increased the value of the businesses. During his time as an operating executive, Mr Pearsall was actively involved in managing a number of merger, acquisition and divestiture projects and in numerous debt and equity capital raisings, including two IPOs. From January 1996 to May 2002, Mr Pearsall lived in the USA working as an investment banker for a boutique firm specializing in ICT clients. During this period he worked on capital raising projects, mergers and acquisitions. He also provided interim management services to VC Funds with distressed portfolio companies, including a 14 month period acting as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lightspeed Interactive Inc in Pleasanton, California, a supplier of leading edge XML software products. Throughout his career, Mr Pearsall has maintained an active involvement in international marketing. He has a sound working knowledge of doing business in Asia and Europe and has worked extensively in developing international opportunities for Australian, European and US based companies. In 1994 he co-authored a book on selling computer software internationally. In April 2002, Mr Pearsall returned to Australia and joined Newport Capital Group (an Investment Banking and Venture Capital group) as a Director in the Corporate Finance division. In April 2004, he left Newport and joined the executive team at IntraPower Group Pty Ltd (a telecommunications services provider) on a consultancy basis and in December 2004, was appointed to the Board of Directors with special responsibility for group strategy and business development. IntraPower recently listed on the ASX. In October 2005, he resigned from the Board of IntraPower and joined Sydney Capital Partners as a Principal. Sydney Capital Partners is a boutique investment banking and corporate advisory firm, focused on middle market and high growth companies and on smaller listed companies. Sydney Capital Partners provides a range of investment banking services to clients, including merger & acquisition services, capital formation services (both debt and equity) and business development services including joint venture establishment. The company also guides clients through the IPO process.
